A drink-driver ploughed into the side of a caravan after losing control of her car. Heather Allmond had to be pulled out of her BMW following the smash.

The 38-year-old had been drinking on a train back from London, and after getting off at Newark Northgate Station, only managed to drive around 200 metres before the collision in Lincoln Street.

Allmond, of Marshalls Rise in Gainsborough, tried and failed to reverse her car from the caravan and had to be helped from her vehicle by members of the public, NottinghamshireLive reports . Both the caravan and car were severely damaged by the collision, which took place at around 6.20pm on May 2, 2024.
