SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) - Two people, two dogs, and a cat are without a home after a fire Saturday morning.
Roanoke County Fire and Rescue responded to the 2600 block of Wildwood Rd for reports of a residential structure fire at around 4 a.m.
Crews found fire coming from the basement. They say it was knocked down in about 5 minutes.
No one was injured. The displaced occupants and pets are being helped by the American Red Cross.
The Roanoke County Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene investigating the cause.
