It’s award season, time for the best new cars, trucks and SUVs to strut their stuff. Over the next six weeks, nine finalists get a last chance to persuade 49 jurors they deserve the big prize: North American Car, Truck or Utility Vehicle of the Year.

From Hemi V8s and twin-turbo straight sixes to electric vehicles and hybrids, the finalists run the gamut of automotive technology. Prices range from the $20Ks to $70Ks, body styles from compact sedans to heavy-duty pickups, interiors from a roomy eight-passenger family hauler to a 2+2 coupe. Some are 2025 models, some ‘26s, but they all went on sale over the last 12 months.
