Dame Esther Rantzen is celebrating Christmas early with her family this year - just in case she "doesn't make" to the big day.
The journalist and campaigner says she's continually surprised to be reaching new milestones after being diagnosed with incurable lung cancer almost three years ago. Since sharing the news, the 85-year-old grandmother of five has been leading in the battle to legalise assisted dying. However, progress on the Assisted Dying Bill has been delayed, and earlier this year she admitted she doesn't expect to see the law change in her lifetime.
