SAN ANTONIO — SAFD says major damage was prevented after their response to a fire at a northeast-side apartment complex early Saturday morning.
Fire officials were called to an apartment complex located in the 220 block of Deerwood Drive at around 12:50 a.m. When they arrived, they found a small pile of trash on fire inside the breeze way of the building.
SAFD says they attacked the fire quickly, preventing the fire from spreading to the building.
Residents from one unit were evacuated out of precaution. There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
