MUSKEGON, MI - A popular downtown Muskegon brewery is in the process of making some finger-licking changes to draw more than just beer fans.

Rake Beer Project at 500 W Western Ave. announced the change this past March on social media. The business reduced its fleet of fermenters to make way for a deli and distilling operations.

As of earlier this month, customers can now grab breakfast from handhelds and burritos, along with other snacks like chips and roasted salsa.

“As beer alone becomes less and less of a draw, we are continually working to make our space more inclusive and inviting to all,” according to owner Josh Rake.

From the time the Rake Beer Project opens to 2 p.m., foodies can choose from a whole new breakfast menu. Dinner is offered starting at 5 p.m. until close.
