Dry, cold weather is expected today across New Jersey before a coastal system brings the chance for accumulating snow Tuesday in parts of the state.

There remains considerable uncertainty in the track for Tuesday’s storm and a subtle shift could affect where the rain-snow fall line sets up, according to the National Weather Service.

“The best chances of any accumulating snowfall on Tuesday will be near/north of I-78, but exact amounts remain unclear at the moment,” the National Weather Service said early Saturday.

“Snow or a rain and snow mix could be possible as far south as the I-95 corridor, with all snow favored northwest of the fall line, and all rain favored to the southeast of I-95. Through the day Tuesday, the rain/snow line will likely shift northwest.”
