JACKSON, MI — Jackson College is hosting two holiday concerts this December, offering the community free opportunities to enjoy festive music in different styles.

The Jackson College Community Concert Band, Jazzy Jets and JC Drumline, will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Harold Sheffer Music Hall at Potter Center.

The program includes a holiday medley, selections from “The Nutcracker Suite” and Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24.”

Dan Bickel, director of instrumental activities and music professor, leads the Concert Band and Jazzy Jets.

Instructor Benjamin Crockett directs the JC Drumline. The ensembles include both college students and community members.
