The fate of a 92-year-old institution in Green Lake has been unclear ever since late June, when a landlord-tenant disagreement resulted in a notice to terminate tenancy on the Little Red Hen’s door. The date to vacate came and went, leaving patrons and staff of the popular country, line dancing and karaoke bar with questions as operations continued.

Clarity is expected to come Dec. 4 when property owner RLD Group LLC and Hen owner Dominic Shim are expected to appear in court for a hearing where they will present their arguments. RLD Group filed an eviction lawsuit in King County Superior Court on Nov. 5, stating it was left with no choice after Shim refused to engage in lease negotiations.
