Police have made a number of arrests at a Palestine protest in Manchester city centre. More than 200 people gathered in St Peter's Square this afternoon as part of a pro-Palestine demonstration.

The demonstration started in Piccadilly Gardens , before moving to the square outside the Central Library.

Several arrests have reportedly been made with video showing police officers escorting people from the area. It has not yet been confirmed how many people have been arrested, or the details of alleged offences.

Some demonstrators reportedly chanted 'shame on you' as protesters were led away by police. Others were heard chanting 'we love you'. View Image
