Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden has issued an update while appearing on The One Show . Presenters Alex Jones and Clara Amfo welcomed Amy, along with broadcaster Sara Cox and EastEnders icon Jake Wood on Friday's show.

Amy appeared with the BBC hosts on the famous green sofa at the start of the programme before departing to host one of the Pearson National Teaching Awards. The Welsh performer, who has become a beloved figure on Strictly, revealed earlier this month that she had undergone a second mastectomy following her initial breast cancer diagnosis in May 2023.
