Inoticed Dutch flower bulbs in a store on sale at discounted prices. I would like to plant some if it isn’t too late. What do you recommend?
It is not too late to plant Dutch flower bulbs for bloom early next spring. They will have plenty of time to grow and develop and bloom in the spring. I have planted later than this with good success.
Since the fall rains have started you will find it a little more difficult to prepare the soil. I would recommend that you get some bark dust and mix it into the areas where you will be planting. Select areas to plant that will be in the sun at least half of the day.
I would also suggest that you consider planting bulbs in containers that you plant annual flowers in for the summer. The bulbs will be through blooming when it is time to plant annuals be
