This Morning star Alice Liveing has urged fellow new mums to 'get checked' after experiencing an 'unusual' symptom after giving birth.

The personal trainer, who is a regular on the ITV show, was sent to hospital for a scan after telling her GP something was amiss.

Alice, who welcomed her daughter into the world five weeks ago, posted a snap of the ultrasound room to her Instagram account, and said she had 'not got the news she wanted'.

Sharing details of her diagnosis with her 675,000 followers, Alice said she'd sought medical help over some concerning bleeding.

She wrote: "Not the news I wanted today, but wanted to share in case it's helpful or makes anyone else get theirs checked.
