MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College will transform its academic support system with a nearly $650,000 state grant aimed at helping students succeed in their coursework and complete their degrees, officials said.
The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) awarded the College Success Grant to the Mount Pleasant-based institution, which will use the funding to convert its Writing Center into a comprehensive Student Success Center. The expanded facility will provide assistance across multiple subjects including writing, math, science and English, officials said.
