A convicted robber has been given yet another chance to stay out of jail after he stole a TV sound bar from his own grandad in order to buy drugs. Curtis Telford had been staying with his grandparents in Stakeford, Northumberland , when he decided to ask them for cash.
However, when they refused, the 26-year-old flew into a rage and helped himself to their TV sound bar, a court heard. And, as he made his way out of the house with the stolen good, he assaulted his grandfather by barging passed him and broke a picture frame on the wall, prosecutors said.
