A woman in her 70s has been arrested, and a pedestrian has been seriously injured after a crash in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to Railway Street, by the A684 Harmby Road junction with Yoredale Way in Leyburn at around 10.10am on Friday (November 28) following reports of an incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The car was a red Range Rover, and the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
A woman in her 70s has been arrested in connection with the collision.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following the crash.
