Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin said after Saturday’s win over Mississippi State that he’ll be making a phone call to Nick Saban before deciding whether he’ll stay with the Rebels or move to LSU, and Saban dropped a significant hint Saturday morning about what he wants to communicate to his former offensive coordinator.

Kiffin has said that he will make a decision Saturday on his future after his team appeared to lock up a spot in the College Football Playoff with a 38-19 victory in Friday’s Egg Bowl.

In the postgame press conference, Kiffin said he planned to speak with Saban and Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll – both former bosses of his – before he makes a decision on his future.
