GRAND FORKS — The University of North Dakota is in good shape for housing even with record-breaking enrollment, said its vice president of student affairs, with both on-campus options given by UND and two key partnerships.

Art Malloy said he doesn’t foresee any issues with housing, given the number of requests he’s seeing for housing so far this year.

“Right now we are right about where we should be,” he said. “The key is to always have a plan.”

UND lacked a plan two years ago, he said, when there were 300 more requests for housing than usual. Last year, it was 400 more.

The university is prepared for it now, though.

All nine residence halls are online, save for the old Fulton Hall, which has been closed for some time. Malloy said he doesn’t foresee it opening again. Swanson Hall has
