It's officially time to bundle up, especially if you're tailgating at the OU Sooners home football game.
The air mass that will arrive in central Oklahoma just before the OU Sooners home game Saturday, Nov. 29 will be the "coldest of the season" according to meteorologists, bringing heavy winds and frigid temperatures to those sitting outdoors.
After reaching the 50s in the morning, the cold front led by wind gusts up to 45 mph will push cold air through central Oklahoma, leading to wind chills in the 20s or 30s.
The football game between the University of Oklahoma and Louisiana State University kicks off at 2:30 p.m.
By Sunday, the temperature will be well below freezing. The National Weather Service estimates another strong day for wind with morning temperatures around 25 degree
