MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The 2025 season concludes for West Virginia on Saturday afternoon in the form of a matchup with seventh-ranked Texas Tech, which is No. 5 in the latest College Football Playoff Ratings and will play for a Big 12 Conference Championship next weekend against BYU in Arlington, Texas.
The Mountaineers (4-7, 2-6) have been competitive in four straight games, two of which have been wins, but they enter this contest their biggest underdog all season at 23 points.
Texas Tech (10-1, 7-1) locked up its spot in the Big 12 title game late Friday when Arizona defeated Arizona State and anything short of a loss today and next weekend should safely leave the Red Raiders in the CFP.
WVU and Texas Tech have split 14 previous meetings, including three wins apiece in Morgantown.
