KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - According to the United States Geological Survey, USGS, an earthquake was detected in Kershaw County Friday morning.
The earthquake occurred nearly 5 miles east of Elgin around 9:45 AM Friday.
Generally, magnitudes around 2.0 and lower go unnoticed. However, according to the USGS website , as of late Saturday morning, nearly 20 reports of light shaking with no damage were submitted to the site. Most of the reports submitted came from Elgin and Lugoff.
