The Boston Red Sox went all in last offseason to secure Alex Bregman in free agency, and it paid off. They landed the star, who was a huge piece of their puzzle this season. But the Red Sox had to give Bregman an opt-out in his contract, which allowed him to return to free agency this winter.

The Red Sox are going to need to win the Bregman sweepstakes again, or they're at risk of taking a step back from last season.
