Police investigating the terrorist attack at Heaton Park synagogue last month have issued an update after making another arrest this week . Counter terror police swooped at Manchester Airport on Thursday (November 27) to arrest a seventh person as part of their probe.
The 31-year-old man was detained on suspicion of commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism after arriving on an inbound flight. Greater Manchester Police have now announced that the suspect will remain in custody for up to seven days.
It comes after the force was granted a warrant of further detention which means that the suspect can be held in custody for up to a week from his rest. This means he can remain in custody for questioning until Thursday, December 4.
