MADISON, Wis. — A snow emergency has been declared in the City of Madison to aid in the citywide plowing effort on Saturday.

Residents are urged to follow the parking rules to ensure efficient snow removal.

Alternate side parking rules are now in effect across the city, including the Snow Emergency Zone. From 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., residents should park on the side of the street with even house numbers on the night of November 29 into the morning of November 30. On the following night, November 30 into the morning of December 1, parking should be on the side with odd house numbers.

It's crucial to adhere to all posted street parking rules. Violating winter parking rules can result in a $60 fine. Additionally, if your car is towed, a $115 towing fee will apply.
