TOLEDO, Ohio — The wait is finally over!

Schmucker's restaurant, a west Toledo eatery well-known for its homemade pies, is finally opening back up, according to a post made on the company's Facebook page Saturday morning.

The restaurant is expected to reopen on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 6:00 a.m., according to the post.

Schmuckers says it will be doing a soft opening with new hours: Monday-Saturday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In August earlier this year, an accidental fire caused the restaurant to close , but the post claims Schmuckers' nostalgic charm is still there.

The same chrome stools it had when it opened in 1948 were preserved, the same phone booth remains, and the same staff will return as well. The post emphasizes Schmuckers' efforts to give the restaurant the familiar feeling
