Singer Jessie J has had her fair share of significant health scares — and according to the artist, they have almost always followed bouts of massive success.
“I just got my first record deal, and I had a stroke,” the artist revealed in an interview with The Guardian published on Saturday, November 29. “Then when I was about to put out music in 2020 I had a car crash and my larynx moved up and I couldn’t sing for a year.”
That’s not all for the singer, real name Jessica Cornish, who told the outlet she has faced a slew of health issues in lockstep with her career.
“Honestly, I feel life goes, ‘You having a good time? Sit down,’” she explained. “Ever since I was a child, it has always gone alongside moments of success for me; something severe or obscure has happened to my health.”
