MORE than 100 demonstrators gathered in Edinburgh to protest the proscription of Palestine Action and to oppose Israel’s genocide in Gaza .
Around 50 of the campaigners formed a silent demonstration where they sat and held signs reading “I Oppose Genocide, I Support Palestine Action” on Saturday.
Another group of around 100, many holding placards or flags in solidarity with Palestine, gathered around the sitting activists.
Speakers at the demonstration said they would reject offers made to them by the Procurator Fiscal to avoid trial for their alleged terror charges by paying a £100 fine or by accepting a formal warning .
The protest coincided with 11 being held across the UK as part of the Lift The Ban campaign organised by Defend Our Juries, and was the second held this month
