PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help after a man was killed in a hit-and-run in the West Valley on Friday morning.

Just after 2 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the area of 107th Avenue and West Buckeye Road for a report of a person lying on the side of the road, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say a man walking near the shoulder of an unlit road was struck by an unknown vehicle. Despite CPR efforts, he died at the scene. He has not yet been identified.

Detectives believe the vehicle was a silver sedan with possible damage to its right headlight and mirror.
