A 27-year-old woman suffered life-altering injuries in a single-vehicle collision that shut down a section of a busy highway in Etobicoke Saturday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say the crash occurred in the southbound express lanes of Hwy. 427 near Rathburn Rd. around 4 a.m.
The lone vehicle was heading south when it crashed into a guardrail on the left side of the highway, OPP told CP24.
The driver was reportedly rushed to hospital with injuries that were initially thought to be life-threatening but were later downgraded to life-altering.
The southbound express lanes of Hwy. 427 were shut down for hours as police investigated the crash.
