It was a Thanksgiving miracle.
An elderly woman miraculously only suffered minor injuries Wednesday after a freight train slammed into her car along a New Jersey highway — and dragged it for a quarter mile, authorities said.
The woman, 82, stopped her vehicle around 3:05 p.m. after she saw crossing lights for the oncoming train along Route 535 near Stults Road, the South Brunswick Police Department told Patch.com .

But she didn’t realize that she had actually stopped her car on the train tracks — causing a Conrail freight train to plow into her, police said.
