PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - It was the calm before a winter storm as hundreds of cars filled with children and the young at heart came to see Folepi’s Winter Wonderland in East Peoria.

Many of the lighted floats seen at last week’s Parade of Lights are on display at VFW Post 2078 Park off Springfield Road.

For 41 years, the Winter Wonderland has offered families a bright and festive drive-through experience.

Guests stay warm in their vehicles, tune their radios to Christmas music, and enjoy more than a mile of dazzling displays.

Organizers are introducing two new floats this year, and the popular festival wreath is making only its second appearance.

Festival Chair Kory Brown said it’s a great way to start the season.
