The Canada Border Services Agency has charged a Stoney Creek resident and four others as part of an ongoing anti-drug and firearm-smuggling operation in southern Ontario.
In a press release Friday, CBSA said it charged the 32-year-old Stoney Creek resident for attempting to smuggle roughly 108 kilograms of cocaine at the Blue Water Bridge border crossing just north of Sarnia.
Two other Canadians, a 24-year-old from Kingston and a 32-year-old from Brampton, were also charged with smuggling nearly 350 kg of methamphetamines at the Blue Water Bridge crossing.
CBSA also charged two Americans with smuggling a stolen firearm and failing to report having more than $93,000 (U.S.) at the Peace Bridge crossing.
