COLUMBIA — Clemson football quarterback Cade Klubnik 's first touchdown against South Carolina on Nov. 29 was chaotic.
On third-and-goal on the 3-yard line in the second quarter at Williams-Brice Stadium, Clemson (6-5) brought out its jumbo package with multiple offensive linemen and defensive tackle Peter Woods.
Klubnik faked a handoff to Woods and rolled right, but all of his receiving options were covered. He tried to evade an incoming South Carolina defensive lineman, but he jarred the ball loose from the Clemson quarterback.
Klubnik quickly picked up the fumble and rushed to the opposite side of the field, outrunning another Gamecocks defender to score a 3-yard touchdown to give Clemson a 14-7 lead with 5:48 remaining in the first half. It was Klubnik's fourth rushing touch
