Ryton lad Oliver Noble has had to learn how to do almost everything again - even to smile - following a touch-and-go battle with leukaemia. But now Ollie, 6, is thriving back at school and has been awarded a very special honour to mark his bravery.

Ollie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia as a tot. A patient at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle , he's been through more than most - as during lengthy cancer treatment he suffered setbacks, even contracting sepsis and falling into a coma.

But he's back happy and healthy - and a keen fundraiser himself - having raised money during the Great North Run weekend for charity Children's Cancer North. He's now been given a Braveh
