The Patriots added veteran running back Craig Reynolds to their practice squad this week.
They acted quickly to make the move, signing him Friday, one day after he cleared waivers after being cut by the Lions.

Reynolds has 154 career carries for 658 yards with a touchdown, plus 25 catches for 258 yards. He’s also returned 11 kicks for 279 yards and is an accomplished special teams player with 785 career snaps.
“He’s got value on fourth down, special teams, and figured that if we need him that, he’s played on Sundays. I’ve always liked his play demeanor and how hard he plays and his ability to play on special teams.”
The Patriots now have Reynolds and another veteran running back, D’Ernest Johnson, on their practice squad. They serve as depth behind Rhamondre Stevenson
