The intensity every time the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines meet is unmatched, and that was evident in the first quarter, with several big plays setting the tone for the game.

However, while holding a 6-0 lead and with the Buckeyes on the doorstep of scoring, Michigan defender Jaishawn Barham appeared frustrated and headbutted an official, resulting in a penalty.

Despite receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty—his first of the game—Barham was not ejected, even though contact with an official typically warrants immediate removal from the contest.
