Livingston boss David Martindale has backed Sunday’s opponents Aberdeen to banish their early-season struggles and finish in the top six.

The Dons failed to score in any of their first seven league matches but have climbed away from the bottom of the table after winning four of their last six league fixtures.

Jimmy Thelin’s side, who finished fifth and won the Scottish Cup last term, head to West Lothian looking to bounce back from their frustrating Conference League draw at home to Armenian side Noah on Thursday, and Martindale is expecting a tough test.
