An investigation is underway after the body of a woman was pulled from a canal near Manchester city centre . Police were called to St George's Island flats on Kelso Place in Castlefield at 9am following reports of a body in the water. A female was pulled out of the canal and she was taken to hospital where her death was later confirmed. Police do not believe there is any 'third party' involvement.
