A man wanted for attempted murder after a woman was stabbed inside a Jackson apartment has been taken into custody, police said.
The stabbing happened at 11:36 p.m. at the Paragon Apartments at 1020 Larsen Road, police said. Officers responded for a report of a female that had been stabbed in the abdomen by a male.
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the floor being attended to by a family member who advised that she had been stabbed by Jaden Thompson, according to Lt. Fred Meabe.
While officers rendered aid to the victim, others searched the area. Police said Thompson fled the apartment complex in a black 2012 Nissan Altima with New Jersey registration SUV51A.
At the time of the initial alert, police said Thompson “has yet to be located and is being actively sought after by the Jackson Police Department for Attempted Murder in the 1st degree, amongst other criminal charges.”
