Commuters and drivers should plan around road closures downtown on Saturday for the Cavalcade of Lights and upcoming TTC subway service disruptions.
The Cavalcade of Lights is taking over Nathan Phillips Square from Saturday to Jan. 7, transforming the area into a winter wonderland complete with vibrant holiday lights and a glistening Christmas tree.
Ahead of the event’s opening day, there will be road closures and transit service adjustments affecting travel downtown for the festivities.
From 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, the following road closures will be in effect:
Bay Street between Dundas Street West and Queen Street West (local traffic access available between Dundas Street West and Albert Street)
Albert Street between Bay and James streets (local traffic only)
