NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The United Cajun Navy said Saturday (Nov. 29) it located wreckage of a Cessna small plane that went down over Lake Pontchartrain last Monday night.
“Divers are in the water now looking for signs of the missing crew members,” the organization said in a social media post.
Search teams from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, New Orleans Police Department and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office also reported finding parts and objects associated with the missing plane last week.
“Law enforcement recovery operations were paused because of severe water and weather conditions that made it unsafe for professional dive teams to operate,” the NOPD said Saturday in a statement. “These conditions dictate when divers can enter the water and when equipment can be safely deploy
