Heavy rain across the country could be followed by outbreaks of snow, according to new weather data. Weather forecasts by WXCharts.com show snow could fall across northern Scotland and northern England throughout Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning.
It comes after the Met Office issued an amber warning for rain for much of south Wales on Monday. A Met Office spokesperson said: “Saturday will see rain accumulate in eastern parts of England, with a yellow warning in force through the day. Wet surfaces overnight in northern parts of England introduce the chance of ice forming, with a yellow warning issued for this overnight into Sunday morning.”
