INDIANAPOLIS -- Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard will return to the lineup Saturday after missing Friday's game with a right quad contusion, coach Rick Carlisle said in his pregame press conference.
Nembhard is averaging 17.5 points and 6.2 assists per game this season. He's also averaging a career-high 13.8 field goals per game as he's starting at point guard with All-Star Tyrese Haliburton out for the season with a right Achilles tendon tear. He's shooting 39.5% from the floor, which would be a career-worst, but he's scored in double figures in all but two games this season.
The Pacers started Ben Sheppard in Nembhard's place in Friday's game.
