Macomb County residents woke up Sunday to find area roads mostly passable after the region’s first major snowfall of the season.

A snowstorm moved through Macomb County on Saturday night, making streets and highways slippery and creating difficulty driving conditions. But a combination of road crews working overnight and rising temperatures Sunday saw conditions improve.

Locally, the storm dropped several inches of snow, the National Weather Service. Here are some of the snowfall totals:

Eastpointe — 3.5 inches

Armada — 2.5 inches

Macomb Township — 1.5 inches

In neighboring Oakland County, reported snowfall totals included:

Lake Orion — 6.1

Waterford — 5.7 inches

White Lake — 5.6 inches

Berkely — 4.4 inches

Southfield — 4.3 inches
