One of my favorite things about this column are the ways in which Margaret and I have explored local history. In the initial weeks of In Frame, Margaret brought local history into focus through the lens of film preservation, and I broke down the legacy of Duard Slattery, who was one of the creators of an Oscar-winning short film. In subsequent columns, I’ve tried to bring more attention to the names of Louis Weitzenkorn, Norman Reilly Raine, and Hugo Winterhalter.
I hope my efforts have been somewhat successful.
