CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A high-speed chase spanning Culpeper, Rappahannock, and Madison counties ended in a crash Saturday night.

According to deputies, the driver, identified as 22-year-old Christian Gervais, attempted to run from officers during the pursuit. The chase came to an end on Hebron Court in Madison County, where Gervais crashed into a tree. The pursuing deputy also hit a tree while attempting to stop.
