Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ reigning NFL MVP quarterback, is no stranger to NFL records. Now, he has another. With his latest rushing touchdown, Allen has surpassed former Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton as the leader in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NFL history.
Allen scored his 76th regular-season rushing touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Buffalo facing third down and goal to go, Allen called his own number on a quarterback draw. In typical Allen fashion, he bulldozed his way into the end zone, dragging defenders and teammates alike across the goal line for the eight-yard score. With the touchdown and the subsequent Matt Prater PAT, Buffalo took a 23-7 lead over Pittsburgh in a game with tremendous AFC Playoff implications.
