KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Multiple metro-area high schools are headed to the 2025 MSHSAA High School Football State Championships.
The undefeated Class 4 Kearney Bulldogs beat the Festus Tigers in the semifinals over the weekend, 52-24. They’re set to face the Hannibal Pirates at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 6.
For Class 5, the Platte County Pirates defeated the Kirkwood Pioneers, 64-35, in a Friday afternoon matchup. The Pirates are 13-0 this season and are set to face Carthage High School in the state championship on Friday, December 5, at 7 p.m. Platte County will be battling for its second straight state title.
The 6A Lee’s Summit Tigers defeated the Jackson Indians, 35-28. They will face Nixa High School on Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m.
