(KBTX) - After suffering its first loss of the season to No. 16 Texas, the Texas A&M Football team dropped four places to No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25, released Sunday.

The Aggies fell behind No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 Texas Tech and No. 6 Ole Miss , all one-loss teams. A&M is the lowest-ranked one-loss team in the top 10, with two-loss No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 10 Alabama sitting behind the Aggies.

Sunday’s ranking marks the 225 week the Aggies have landed in the top 10, all time.

A&M also sits at No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches Poll .

The Aggies held the No. 3 spot in the AP poll for six weeks, moving into the ranking on Oct. 19 after beating Arkansas on the road.
