EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - We are on alert tonight into Tuesday morning for wintry weather and minor snow accumulation, which will likely cause some slick conditions on roads and sidewalks.
Today will be mostly cloudy and cold. After starting the day in the mid to upper 20s, we will only climb into the mid to upper 30s this afternoon. Most of the day will be dry, but a few spotty showers will start to push in from the west around 2 or 3 PM. Those showers will start as rain but will change over to rain/snow mix as the sun sets this evening.
Overnight, that wintry mix will change over to all snow as temperatures drop into the mid 20s. That snow will end by 5 or 6 AM Tuesday, but slick road conditions will be a concern through the morning commute.
